this task 1, we need to understand what graphic design is, what is graphic
design in the world now, or what can a graphic designer do for society?
Graphic
design is a creative process that combines the image and typography in creative
way to convey his ideas to his clients through a communicate ideas. Another
meaning of Graphic design is the most universal of all the arts. It is all
around us, explaining, and decorating, identifying, meaning on the
world. Design element includes line, symbols, image, shapes, size, space,
photography, colors, texture, illustrations and type.
Graphic design is thread, you will see everywhere
For example advertising, identity (logos and branding), business card,
publications (magazines, newspapers and books), website graphic (Layout),
product packaging and so on.
Graphic
design role in the world now is start changing; let say the analog is the
opposite of digital defined doing on manual by handmade. Any technology, such as design clothes, that doesn't have
digital to print out, for example do it in using the analog silk screen in the
printed image to paper. In the world now have digital is easier to create
poster, name card, logo. advertising, packaging, anime and so on, this is what software
to using (adobe Photoshop, illustration (Ai), premier, after effect and so on),
then digital is direct printing by plate imaging system or printing the process
in computerized control ink jet printers.
Besides
that, what can a graphic designer do for society; a lot worker only can follow what
boss need or what client need. Some graphic designers may work for themselves
on a freelance basis or may be employed full time by someone else.
