San Design: April 2014

For this task find one companies, designers, artists or photography do further detailed about on them. When i research i found one Artist called Kris Trappeniers is a stencil artist based in Belgium. He cuts out his ballpoint drawings by hand, creating intricate stencils for use on vinyl, canvas, cardboard, wood and walls.

He studied art history and advertising art at the academy of Leuven (SLAC).

Versatile and experimental approach to stencil, inspired by traditional Japanese papercuts (kiri-e), anti-pop culture in the eighties and the arts & crafts movement of the 19th century.

He using Stencil and papercut design is based on small intricate ink drawings, often the stencil is used just once (as opposed to serigraphy), afterwards the pochoir is colored with acrylics and ttransforms into a decorative artwork itself. This cycle forces the artist to continuously come up with new designs and run through the cycle again.

What he doing the process from drawing to finished work is completely analogue, without the use of software or photo filters. Some designs involve more geometrics, resulting in analog halftone designs with a 'trompe l'oeil' effect.

He is really good in paper cutting, it is not easy to cut it out. In the other hand, this is what i proud of this artist. For me sure cannot do that cut out by hand to make stencils.

Graduated Showcase

We are final year of degree students, so will be a showcase committee setup, we have be assigned to lead and plan to complete an actual exhibition in the end of this semester. For this planning need teamwork and need to think and act as a professional. Besides that, our team group have 17 graduated students include all the Animation, Graphic design, Illustration and Photography. First week we start vote who become the leader in team group. Final result show in below: -

For this module not only for App class, pp class also will join us and help us to plan and complete an actual exhibition in the end of this semester.

This is the finalized result, actually president have a lot of thing to prepare for team group. It is not easy part to work. After finished vote, me (President) have to prepare schedule to team group. Vise President will be in charge help and remind me when i forget something. I will schedule out that could be in charge this who be in charge that. Secretary (Yap) will be in charge on writing on note then will post in FB when we having meeting and collect money from sponsor. Creative Team leader is (Amir) will be in charge on concept and ideation, Copywriter and Milestones & timeline. For Pr & Marketing leader (Sharmila) will be in charge on proposal, Payment, Guess list and so on. The last Art Direction leader is (Shyam), he will in charge a lot of thing, especially design LOGO, poster, invitation Card.

After going through a few meeting is create new logo and headline for our exhibition called "RAW" . The " Raw" Name is create by Creative team and Art direction team. Here is the RAW meaning : (RAW represents us being strong, with a lot of knowledge that can be used in different areas and. We are flexible and can use our talent in different areas and cooperate with other artists. Like the .RAW format, we are changing and growing to be better artists.) Headline is created by Creative team in charge, the finalized tagline called , "Dimensional Imagination" is describing our group. We are artists from different backgrounds and areas such as photography, animation, graphic design and illustration, and each of us has our own way of seeing the word around and represents it in our own unique way in our artworks. The word "Dimensional" refer to us, different artist that shaping a body of work – our exhibition – that have own different styles. And "Imagination" refers to the way we think and how it shows in our artworks.

First time went visit Publika meeting with their management talking about for exhibition place, which place is more suitable and nicer, but for that day is quite hard to find a good place and fully booking for other place. After that, we went back to college research again and discuss with team leader.

Visit Publika (Checking Place)

After went visit second time, we finalized two bridges and another space called MPH for our exhibition. MPH place size is 365x915cm and the bridge is 437x1145cm and bridge place is bigger than MPH place. Final meeting discussion we decide instead of separate it different media’s such as illustration, graphic design, and photography not include animation, because we decide animation combine together show in one LED TV. So, final decide is we have three course of student, so we made it three course student to separate put in one place and then make it mixed mediums in each of our 3 place and the final layout more diverse so visitors with different interest in art be able to enjoy all parts of our exhibition.
