Before when i choose the topic, research on 2 advertising campaign that was successfully executed in the market or industry. it could be a product launching campaign and so on.
After that, we need to decide the campaign tittle/ theme and also may need to find out more information which is the company background, challenge/brief, the idea, result, marketing problem, analysis and question.

Based on three module (Graphic Design 3 (part 1), Illustration 3 (part 1) and thesis) is combined together to create and choose one issue. So, student need to list down what's the issue have. Actually this topic "SMS (Short message Services) is previous task, this semester I suggest to be continue. Just want to development again.
SMS is a message delivered to or from a mobile phone.
Communication is a process; we assign and convey meaning in order to pass on
certain messages to others. It is believed, we use different signs and symbols
in a structured form and method of communicate. And Semiotic function of the
emotions and people will use them to express their emotions. For Human
language, in different way, it has surpassed all other of communication in
different facets.
We are entering into a period where the era short messaging (SMS)
is coming to an end. As networks are planning to close their SMS facilities,
the medium is making way for messaging services that use data networks through
apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Wechat, Line, and so on. Because the
apps are free and work over 2G or 3G data connections as well as wifi, they are
proving to be very popular with multiple generations. Here in Malaysia data
packages are quite cheap, so most smartphone users have access.
So what does this mean for the development of the ‘texting
language’? Will the shorthand language developed through SMS continue to be developed
or will a new app friendly language develop, to take over? This thesis will
investigate the development of technology languages, and will identify possible
development scenarios.
Emoticons are graphical and animated icons, such as :). You can insert
the emoticons or create into text chat messages that you type to send to your
chat partners and also can edit existing emoticons or create the new ones and
store them in emoticon palettes which are groups of emoticons. Use of
emoticons is on the rise as more users turn to texting and iMessaging to stay
in touch.
Popular emoticons use combinations of keys on the alphabetic and
numeric keypad to generate symbols that represent words, phrases and emotions.
It is very easy to create and fun to use. Just put a smiley faces, frowns,
winks and more in your IM communications, with a few simple steps.
Emoticons started out as a simple :) to convey emotion. Strong
emotions can because you can take actions you might not normally perform, or
avoid situations that you generally enjoy. Actually A lot of people
need emoticons can helpful for expressing feelings and understanding to
each other. For example: Dear, I so happy with you today :(, actually
she not happy today, because she never just express a single emoticon. So,
based on smartphone app just only a single smiley emoticon, this is what I want
to focus and develop part to improving the emoticons. For example: :)( (happy
but not quite happy).

This is what i Keep research semiotic about. Research about the person who is created about semiotic. And also research "What is semiotic about?" and so on.
Aim(s): - Develop Parameters Of a Pictorial Language
Objective: -
1. Research and documenting common keypad base emoticons.
2. Research on popular local phrase that has potential to be designed as new emoticons for local usage from interview conducted.
3. To design selected local phrase into new emoticons using AI.

1. Create a new apps to promote the new emoticons.
2. Shoot the real people, and then create the emoticons into the picture, that mean can convey their emotion.
3. Create a story to promote the emoticons.

1. Create the new apps to promote the emoticons. Now smartphone is very useful. Create the apps add one more button for draw out what they need to convey to each other.

Learning Outcome
Firstly, I have to list down or doing on mind mapping research
more detail information SMS, SEMIOTIC about. I have to
research and study more information and from other respondents evidence to have
in a research it might help running an awareness campaign and illustration
module.
Based on what I
need to experiment semiotic to create emoticons use combinations
of keys on the alphabetic, semiotic and numeric keypad to generate symbols that
represent words, phrases and emotions. I have to trying use keypad to create
new emoticons it can be two feeling to expression. What I experiment new
emoticons is not easy to create at all, make sure you understanding what the
other people needs the new emoticons o express. Because a lot of people need emoticons can helpful for
expressing feelings and understanding to each other.
In Thesis I have
Prepared Questionnaire to respondents to do a survey and discussion the final
result report. After go through all the research and studies, experimental the
new emoticons. Telling respondents the new emoticons it can be to express two
feeling to other feeling and understanding and make it unique or interesting.
In survey is good way to studies and will get result and prove from respondents.
In the other hand,
emoticons need to create a brand name. The new brand name is what I was keep
thinking that what brand name can be used. Firstly I have to think that brand
name isn't need to find positive word more suitable for new emoticons and the
tagline should be a power message to share out It can be attract people. When I
want to find out the new brand name, I had prepare dictionary find out some
word got related my topic just list down and list down the meaning about then
can found out the final brand name and tagline. Brand name called “Emogotion”
tagline called “Go ahead & express” means go ahead choose which you like
the emoticons to express to other people.
I started to
create the brand name with tagline. Firstly I have to go research other people
design the logo or brand name, some of logo and brand name style is quite
unique and easy to attract people. The Logo or brand name have important part
is make sure your design is look nice, easy, unique, interesting and easy to attract
people and don’t make it complicated. Besides that, Logo or brand name the colour also is very important part to focus. If the colour cannot to attract
people, mean the logo or brand name is fail. This is what I experiment and
learning outcome.
